Medicare and private clients

The fee for Medicare and private health clients is $240. Sessions are 50 minutes.

The APS (Australian Psychological Society) National Schedule of Recommended Fees 2025-2026 sets the standard 46-60 minute consultation at $318.

Health fund

Most health funds provide rebates for psychological services. Health insurance policies cover counselling, depending on the policy. Please check with your insurance company to see if you are eligible.

Medicare rebates

Under the Medicare Benefits Schedule, Medicare provides rebates for 10 sessions per calendar year if you are referred by your GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician under the Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP).

The Medicare rebate for 2025 is $98.95

NDIS

The fees in the NDIS pricing schedule for psychological services are set at $232.99 per hour session.

Cancellation policy 

To cancel or rearrange an appointment, please call Watershed Psychology on 0421 544 534 or email info@watershedpsychology.com.au.

If you are unable to attend an appointment in person, you may request the session via ZOOM or a phone consultation if deemed appropriate. 

Should you cancel your appointment without providing 24 hours notice, the full session fee is payable. 

NDIS allows unattended/late cancelled sessions to be claimed at 100% of the scheduled fee. 

For Medicare and health fund clients, in accordance with the Australian Psychological Society (APS), a full fee will be charged for any missed, cancelled or rescheduled appointments within 24 hours (excluding weekends). 

Please note that Medicare and health fund rebates cannot be claimed for cancelled appointments, and you will need to cover the fee personally.
